The task has been cancelled due to wind from behind and overdevelopment.
After long flights yesterday (Jacek had a 5 hour hike to the road and was back home in the morning), a day off to recover is not too bad Laughing.

Long flights and long retrieves. After the window has opened nice CU's started to pop up and at about 13:00 the convergence line was fully developed. With a 20 km/h northerly tailwind the pilots jumped from cloud to cloud. After 70 km to the South the mountain chain finishes and the flight continues over the Pampas flatlands. Very few people live on the hugh farms and having a SPOT and a fully charged radio becomes essential because cell phone coverage only exists in the rare settlements. Once the difficult part to catch the right cloud street south of the mountains has been managed, the speed of the race increased. Jacek Profus was day winner again with a +200km fllight. But after the nice flight he had a difficult retrieve with a long hike out landing in the middle of 2 roads which are 40 km apart.

When we arrived at take off the wind swung around to a perfect light westerly. Soon after the window was open everybody was in the air. The general flow in the valley was from the north and a massive inversion around 2000m altitude stopped clouds from developing. The furthest flights went to the south along the mountain range for about 80km. At this place it was not clear what the wind is doing and - flying in all directions to test - going west had the least amount of head wind. Congratulations to Jacek Profus, who was winning the day again.

14:30 The task is cancelled. Only one pilot could take off. There was not enough launchable time for all pilots. The wind is increasing from the back.

The day started with a 25 km/h wind from SE (from behind at Take Off)

But fortunately around 11:00 am the wind switched and all pilots could launch. The flying route of the ones who flew far was first over the mountains to the
North up to Mina Clavero (ca. 80km) frpm there the pilots continued along route 15 to the North - Konstantin from Russia decided to follow the mountains further,
but when he saw there was no more roads or signs of human presence he had to land. After a 1 hr motorbike ride as a passenger he arrived back on the road.
